Skyrim Adventures : Apolio

I was so excited as I swore my oath and became a proud soldier of the empire! Surely this was a glorious day. I was told to get my first assignment from Legate Rikke. I've seen her a few times before. She is a mighty woman. Can't wait to meet her...
Apparently the stormcloaks are going to find a crown and it will strengthen their cause so we have to get it first. But I have to go to some place far away. It is going to be difficult with all this snow and wolf packs out there. Not to mention bandits and gods know what else. But I am going to do it and prove myself.
The traitor who helped Ulfric escape was executed today. Good riddance.
I took a ride to Dawnstar. I am so hungry and thirsty. And tired. And cold. It's so difficult living in skyrim, especially at winter. Time to go to the inn.
I immediately got relieved as I entered the warm tavern! I was about to get some food when I noticed some locals arguing about something. Apparently they're having same nightmares over and over or something.
The priest told me he knows how to stop it and asked me to follow him to a temple. I have my own mission to do but as a soldier I am supposed to protect people. So I agreed and started following him.
On our way a wolf attacked us but the worst thing was the cold. I really need a hot bath and some sleep. Ah well.
Before we entered inside the priest warned me. Some orcs attacked the temple long ago but the priests released some "miasma" and put everyone to sleep. And we were going to wake them up. Great. Am I going to fight orcs and mages? I'm not sure what to do.. But the people of the Dawnstar are depending on me. I cannot stop now.
The priest used some kind of magic to reveal a hidden entrance. Ugh, I hate magic.
I just saw the skull staff that is causing this. Apparently it eats memories or something and causes the nightmares. How creepy is that? This is just getting better and better.
We fought some angry and confused orcs. The priest's magic was of great help. We might just make it after all. Anyway, there is a barrier blocking our path and we can't break it. The priest said the library could have information on how to get through it. After asking him how he knows so much about the temple, he confessed that he was a priest at the temple, but fled and left his friends to die. What a coward. At least he's trying to make up for it now.
After some more fighting, we arrived at the library and found the book we were looking for. It was called "the dreamstride". I wonder how it can help us.
He told me that dreamstride is an ability to change your location using dreams. Is he insane? I'm this close to just getting back to Dawnstar. At any case I'll press on.. For now. He told me there was a potion for it in the lab. And that meant even more fighting.
We found the potion and I reluctantly drank it. The next moment is just.. Wow. I was seeing through the eyes of another person. In a dream! It was a dream of the past when the orcs attacked. I'm lucky I haven't died. I finished the dream by activating the miasma.
After the dream was over I found myself on the other side of the barrier. I took the soulgem powering the barrier and it disappeared.
We soon reached the end. My armor and sword was covered in blood and I was exhausted but we did it. We could see the staff when two priests stopped us. They recognized Erandur. Naturally they weren't happy. But I was expecting it so I was ready to fight. It was brutal. Since my shield was made of metal it was useless against their lightning attacks. At the end I was covered in lightning burns and there were two charred and cut corpses.
We went up the stairs and the priest started a ritual to destroy the staff.
I suddenly started hearing voices in my head! The voice was telling me Erandur would turn on me and free the skull staff. He told me earlier that this was a temple for a deadra so of course I was never going to trust the voice. I let the priest finish his ritual.
Of course, I was right. The skull was destroyed. We did it! The priest congratulated me and offered his services to me, but I refused. A priest wouldn't be welcome in the barracks. So he turned the entrance of temple into a shrine of Mara and decided to stay there. How he was going to survive out there, I do not know. We shook hands and I left. I really needed some rest now, before I collapsed from exhaustion.
On my way back to Dawnstar I was attacked by a pack of wolves! I was surrounded. I was too tired already so I couldn't run away. I fought them one by one. Eventually it was just me and the pack leader. It was strong and I was already wounded. Just when I was wondering if that was it an Elk came to my rescue! It was unbelievable! It distracted the wolf so I could kill it. But I was too late. The elk was dead. I just kneeled there and looked at the elk. Why did it sacrifice itself for me? It made no sense. Was I going to see my comrades die like that? I wished I had time to bury the poor thing but I was about to collapse. Just after the shock of the battle was over that I noticed I couldn't walk! Being bitten everywhere, I got rock joint. But I couldn't stop now. I forced myself to walk despite the pain.
Using the last ounce of my strength, I made it! When I was back at the inn they immediately carried me to a bed and bandaged my wounds. I needed a lot of rest before I could travel again. I hope I don't be late for my mission or the legate will have my head...
To be continued...

Wartune: 21st century fraud?

Hello all! I was surfing the internet yesterday when I saw these ads. AGAIN.
Review by adweek.com
As you can see, they are all suggestive, making you think it's an AO (Adult Only) game. This isn't anything we haven't seen before, and that's what makes me mad. MMOs and the companies's pay to win policy has became so bad and shameless recently that IT BECAME A WAY OF SCAMMING PEOPLE. Of course, no one is forcing you to buy anything here, but tricking 13 year old kids into playing the game and forcing them to pay to have any fun at all (Getting killed by someone the same level you are, no matter how good you play isn't fun.) IS SCAM. These people think they can put some naked girls and false advertise the game to make money. This is certainly a legal way to scam and as long as there are no laws to prevent it, we will see many crappy games like this. But enough of that. Being incapable to do something other than counting the money they scam out of the kids, I guessed they would do something like this:

ru.demon.koramgame.com
As you can also see, the artwork they use for their false advertisement isn't even theirs. Seriously, how greedy can you be? How much does it cost to pay someone to create artwork? 10 bucks? 20? Is it THAT difficult to be a decent human being? Parents, please teach your kids not to fall for crappy scams like these and check what they are doing on the internet.

My game developing journey! (Game Dev Tycoon)

Lately I am so bored because there aren't that many good games coming recently. So I decided to browse at steam's top sellers and came across this game called Game Dev Tycoon. "I always wanted to make games so why not!" I said to myself and played the game.
At first, you start off as a man/woman developing games at their garage. (As many indie developers did.) You go back in time, where the first games were released. You make small games at first until you make enough money to move into an actual office. As a gamer your game experiences comes into play here. At first you decide the theme and genre. "Which theme and genre is a good combination? I'll develop an airplane simulation game." Then you decide which areas to focus on. "Hmm.. An airplane simulation game doesn't need a good story at all, so scratch that. I'll focus on the gameplay." After you're done deciding you create the game and it gets reviewed. As you can see, your knowledge of game making helps you a lot, especially at the beginning.

Of course, it doesn't end there. You need to research new technology and build your own game engines to compete with other developers. If you are an old school gamer you'll feel the nostalgia as you research mono sound and upgrade from text based graphics to 2d graphics v1.

After you've earned over 1M cash (Too bad you can't make goat games!) you can move to an actual office and recruit people. You continue researching and researching and new consoles come out. (I've never lost faith in you, PC!) It is difficult to get started at making medium games so you'll make many mediocre games until you recruit more people and train them. I don't want to give too much spoilers but you will become such a big company that you'll even make your own console! I spent around 20 hours in the game and I enjoyed it a lot. Feel free to share your game development stories with me!

Can you beat my Highscore?
